Job Title: Senior Specialist, Global Procurement - Contracting
Location: Bengaluru, India
Senior Specialist – Contracting Global Procurement Capability Centre in Bengaluru will be an individual contributor and supporting the contracting capabilities within a newly formed Capability center to enable delivery of Global Procurement responsibilities. The role will be leveraging a systemic approach for buying goods and services while utilizing procurement applications to provide efficient and effective contract execution.
The role will maintain consistency, scalability and efficiency for repeatable, location agnostic contracting across Global Procurement. In addition, working with colleagues globally, the role will support end to end contract execution process by implementing category strategy, supplier negotiated terms, providing analytical insights, as needed, to inform future decision making.
Key Accountabilities:
- Accountable for drafting and finalising contracts across categories and services to agreed quality and timelines
- Supports simple contracting activities to ensure compliance with appropriate Gx Ps and other applicable regulations, as applicable.
- Work closely with colleagues in Global Procurement to ensure contracting approach is in alignment with category strategy
- Supports implemention of contracting approaches with category strategies to serve global and regional business needs as assigned.
- Supports simple negotiations, supplier management activities, and stakeholder engagement activities for the contract as assigned.
- Identify and implement process efficiency within contracting approaches across Global Procurement
- Takes direction to drive value in terms of cost savings, cash flow improvement, and other efficiency savings from contract management activities.
Job Requirements:
- The role requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study plus relevant, progressive experience in procurement, including experience in Pharma/Bio Pharma.
- The candidate should demonstrate ability to support cross-functional teams to drive results in implementing category strategies through effective sourcing, negotiations, contracting, and supplier relationship management.
- Provide insight and knowledge regarding rates, unit costs, and costing structures to enable optimal negotiations.
- Uses external data sources, market information, and supplier engagement to support negotiation strategy.
- Individual who is experienced operating with integrity, focus, and clarity in an environment of ambiguity to drive change and improvement.
- Working knowledge with sourcing contracting tools, ERP’s, and e RFx systems preferred. (Oracle, Zycus, Ariba, Other)
- Ability to leverage standard business applications for communicating, presenting and analyzing (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
