Senior Controls Engineer

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Controls Engineer to join our engineering back-office team and support the delivery of major infrastructure and urban development projects. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in control systems engineering, with proven experience contributing to multidisciplinary consultancy deliverables for large-scale infrastructure programs, including automation, monitoring, and utility control integration. This role requires strong coordination skills and the ability to deliver high-quality technical outputs across project stages.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Controls Engineering (Master’s Degree is an advantage).
• Minimum 10+ years of professional experience in controls engineering for infrastructure or utility-related projects.
• Strong background in control systems design, automation, and integration of infrastructure monitoring platforms.
• Proven experience working on large infrastructure and urban development projects.
• Consultancy or multidisciplinary engineering environment experience preferred.
• Familiarity with SCADA systems, PLC programming, control architecture, and instrumentation coordination.
• Strong understanding of technical documentation, design standards, and interface management requirements.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and technical reporting skills.
• Availability to join immediately or within a short notice period.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to all controls engineering deliverables across infrastructure project stages.
• Develop and review control system architecture, specifications, technical reports, and design documentation.
• Support automation and monitoring system integration for utility and infrastructure networks.
• Coordinate effectively with instrumentation, electrical, ICT, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Participate in design reviews, quality assurance checks, and technical problem-solving activities.
• Ensure control systems are properly integrated with wider infrastructure components.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and project teams.
