Since its inception in December 2013, The digital arm of ABP Network has emerged as one of India’s fastest-growing digital networks and offers content in eight languages. Today ABP News, ABP Majha, ABP Ananda, ABP Asmita, ABP Desam, ABP Ganga, ABP Sanjha, and ABP Nadu are actively imparting news digitally.
Location: Noida
Roles & Responsibilities:
The Copywriter will be responsible for creating and curating engaging news content across multiple platforms.
Key responsibilities include:
- Writing, translating, and curating news articles with accuracy and clarity.
- Developing 300–400 words stories from a single line of input by expanding with relevant context, background, and details.
- Sourcing news inputs from the Own Input teams and monitoring social media platforms and other websites to identify and track emerging stories.
- Generating original story ideas and presenting creative suggestions to senior editors.
- Producing timely articles on assignments that arise during the shift, including coverage of breaking news.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduation in Media Courses
- At least 3+ years of working in an English Digital News Desk
- Should be adept at tracking news websites, agencies, and social media to spot news stories
- Should be abreast with developments in national, global, and hyperlocal news developments and events
- Should be adept at editing copies for Digital News (English). Work Portfolio must be shared.
- Should have basic knowledge of SEO
- Should be comfortable with using AI tools to efficiently complete tasks
- Knowledge of Canva or any other photo-editing tools is a bonus
