Job Description

Linum Consult’s client is a world leader in construction and civil engineering. They are involved in a number of large projects internationally, employing thousands of people around the globe. Due to continued growth, they are looking to hire a Senior Cost Estimator with a background in roads and utilities works to join their Paris office.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Preparing detailed cost estimates for the company’s roads and utilities construction projects

  • Defining prices based on internal databases, project setups, specific consultations, or feedback from construction sites

  • Carrying out the associated quantity take-offs

  • Drafting and reviewing technical documents submitted as part of commercial offers or contract documentation

  • Contributing to quick feasibility studies using quantity and cost ratios from previous projects

  • Overseeing the production of ratios from detailed studies to benchmark projects and ensuring the company remains competitive in technical proposals

  • Supporting design monitoring, development of studies and feedback from construction sites, and providing ad hoc technical support to project teams as needed

    • PROFILE

  • Engineering degree qualification, with a specialisation in VRD (Voirie et Réseaux Divers) or Civil Engineering

  • At least 10 years’ experience in a design office or construction with a strong history of cost estimation and pricing works

  • Excellent knowledge of VRD standards and techniques

  • Proficient in MS Office software and quantity take-off and cost estimation tools (Mensura, Covadis, Revit, AutoCAD, Excel, etc.)

  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English and French
