As a Data Engineer Azure Data Platform Contractor based in Barcelona, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the organisation's data landscape. Your day-to-day activities will involve designing robust architectures for data solutions on Azure, overseeing their development through collaboration with external partners, and ensuring smooth deployment and maintenance.

• Design comprehensive data solutions on the Azure Data Platform, ensuring robust architecture that meets business requirements and industry standards.
• Oversee the development, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of data pipelines and workflows, collaborating closely with external providers to ensure seamless delivery.
• Develop deep technical knowledge of Azure cloud services such as Azure Data Lake, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Data Factory, Cognitive Services , and Cosmos DB to support project objectives.
• Integrate diverse data sources including SAP and Salesforce into unified platforms that enable efficient analytics and reporting across the organisation.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to optimise existing processes or adopt new technologies within the Azure ecosystem.

What you bring:

As a Data Engineer Azure Data Platform Contractor in this organisation, you will bring substantial hands-on experience from previous roles where you have designed and delivered sophisticated cloud-based data solutions. Your background includes deep familiarity with the full suite of Azure tools relevant to large-scale data projects. You are adept at integrating disparate systems-particularly SAP and Salesforce-into cohesive platforms that support strategic decision-making.

• Demonstrated experience of at least 4-8 years as a Data Engineer or similar role focused on implementing solutions using the Azure Data Platform.
  
• Comprehensive proficiency with core Azure services including Azure Data Lake, Databricks, Machine Learning, Microsoft Fabric, Data Factory, Cognitive Services, Cosmos DB or other NoSQL databases .
• Proven track record of integrating enterprise systems such as SAP and Salesforce into cloud-based data environments for enhanced analytics capabilities.
• Certification such as DP-203 Azure Data Engineer Associate or AZ-305 Designing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions.
• Excellent analytical skills with a talent for resolving complex technical challenges efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality.
• Strong interpersonal abilities enabling effective collaboration within multicultural teams across different geographies.
• Fluency in English is essential for daily communication; additional language skills are considered beneficial but not required.
• Comfortable adapting to change within fast-evolving technology landscapes while remaining committed to best practices in data engineering.
