In this role, you’ll work with cutting-edge technologies to help clients transform their technology platforms and business operations. Partnering with some of the world’s largest organizations, you’ll help COO’s, CFO’s, CIO’s and their teams realize their ambitions – from improving financial performance, to accelerating speed to market and delivering continuous innovation. Our diverse and passionate team is encouraged to use agile techniques in the development, delivery and on-going management of analytics services and solutions that solve complex business issues through descriptive analytics, advanced visualization, data warehousing, multi-dimensional modelling and business intelligence. #YourRole Your role as a Senior Data Engineer will focus on leading the delivery of client engagements, by understanding objectives for clients and Deloitte, aligning yours and your team’s work to objectives and setting personal priorities, teaming with others across businesses and borders and taking accountability for own and team results to meet client expectations and project’s desired outcomes. In this role, you will build relationships and exercise your communication skills in order to positively influence your peers and other stakeholders. You will commit to personal learning and development by actively seeking opportunities for growth, you will share knowledge and experience with others, and act as a strong brand ambassador, embracing our purpose and values in order to put these into practice in your professional life. During your tenure as a Senior Data Engineer, you will demonstrate and develop your ability to:

Participate in large-scale Data Modernization Programs working in international environments;

Lead the delivery of both Cloud and On-Premises Data Initiatives and serve as technical expert for Data Engineering teams;

Design data-based solutions and data architectures that enable the client’s technology agenda, and communicate market trends and potential impacts effectively to the client;

Provide guidance on project delivery approach, defining success criteria, communication plans, resource plans, project plans, etc;

Design the architecture of the ETL/ELT jobs by utilizing and combining available components and tools;

Assist in the analysis, design, development and testing of Data & Business Intelligence solutions, spanning from data quality sanity checks and data integration controls to data reconciliation across different environments;

Train and mentor colleagues and clients alike with best practices;

Support and participate in business development activities of the firm.

#WinningRequirements To qualify for the role you must have:

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or other related field;

Master’s Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science;

At least 3 years of relevant work experience;

Experience in leading medium to large-scale teams;

Knowledge of Data Warehouse, Data Management, Data Architecture, Data Governance and Business Intelligence principles and techniques;

Experience in On-Premise technologies stacks such as IBM AS400 (DB2), MS SQL Server and Oracle;

Experience in Cloud technology data services such as Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric, AWS Glue and GCP BigQuery;

Experience in Data Visualization tools such as Power BI, Qlik and Tableau;

Experience in Orchestration solutions such as Control-M and Apache Airflow;

Experience in Data Science and AI / ML techniques and tools will be considered a plus;

Strong interpersonal and communications skills in Greek and in English;

Military obligations fulfilled where applicable.
