As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining MultiSafepay's data infrastructure. Your primary focus will be ensuring that high-quality, scalable, and well-structured data is available to various teams within the organization. You will play a crucial role in optimizing data processes, managing databases, and setting up efficient data pipelines for seamless data accessibility.

What will you be doing?

  • Maintaining, and optimising databases, data warehouses, and ElasticSearch indexes
  • Designing and implementing scalable data pipelines for collecting, transforming, and storing data
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with industry standards
  • Automating data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes
  • Working closely with data analysts, ensuring they have well-structured and accurate data for reporting
  • Monitoring database performance, resolving bottlenecks and inefficiencies

What do you need?

  • Proven experience in data engineering or related fields
  • Strong knowledge of ElasticSearch and PostgreSQL
  • Postgres DBA (including logical and binary replication)
  • Managing Elasticsearch clusters
  • Kibana dashboards
  • Data backup and recovery
  • Data mining
  • Knowledge in backend development in Java or Perl 5
  • (troubleshooting, optimization, integration, automation)
  • and Apache POI for handling structured data (optional but beneficial)
  • Strong understanding of ETL processes and data pipeline architecture
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to optimize data performance
  • Proficiency in English, with strong communication skills
