As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining MultiSafepay's data infrastructure. Your primary focus will be ensuring that high-quality, scalable, and well-structured data is available to various teams within the organization. You will play a crucial role in optimizing data processes, managing databases, and setting up efficient data pipelines for seamless data accessibility.
What will you be doing?
- Maintaining, and optimising databases, data warehouses, and ElasticSearch indexes
- Designing and implementing scalable data pipelines for collecting, transforming, and storing data
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with industry standards
- Automating data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes
- Working closely with data analysts, ensuring they have well-structured and accurate data for reporting
- Monitoring database performance, resolving bottlenecks and inefficiencies
What do you need?
- Proven experience in data engineering or related fields
- Strong knowledge of ElasticSearch and PostgreSQL
- Postgres DBA (including logical and binary replication)
- Managing Elasticsearch clusters
- Kibana dashboards
- Data backup and recovery
- Data mining
- Knowledge in backend development in Java or Perl 5
- (troubleshooting, optimization, integration, automation)
- and Apache POI for handling structured data (optional but beneficial)
- Strong understanding of ETL processes and data pipeline architecture
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to optimize data performance
- Proficiency in English, with strong communication skills
