A leading Federal Government department is looking to engage anexperienced Data Engineer to responsible for preparing raw data for analytical or operational uses. The successfulData Engineer will be offered a 12 month contract with 2 x 12 month extension option and hybrid working arrangements!

The successfulData Engineer will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Manage the collection of log data from a wide range of technologies and systems.
• Support log acquisition, performing log normalisation, and support the development of advanced analytics (including technical use cases, dashboards and reports).
• Perform data management and warehousing with a working knowledge of programming languages (Python and SQL) and data governance.

The successfulData Engineer will have experience in the following:

• A detailed understanding of SIEM infrastructure and the ability to manage the collection of log data from a wide range of technologies and systems.
• Extensive experience in supporting log acquisition, performing log normalisation and supporting the development of advanced analytics (including technical use-cases, dashboards and reports).
• Demonstrated core technical skills include a working knowledge of data management and warehousing, programming languages (Python and SQL) and data governance.
