We are looking for an experienced Senior Database Administrator in the LATAM region to join our dynamic team. Our client is a cutting-edge leader, seamlessly integrating advanced technologies, telecommunications, and security systems to create innovative solutions.

As a Senior Database Administrator you will design and maintain secure, scalable database environments, optimize performance, ensure robust security and recovery strategies, troubleshoot production issues, and collaborate with development teams.

This is you

• 5+ years of experience as Database Designer and Administrator

• Experience with PostgreSQL, MariaDB, SQL Server, MongoDB

• Excellent knowledge of DBA monitoring tools, Data Quality and third party tools

• Hands-on experience with database standards and end-user applications

• Strong knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity, and SQL or NoSQL engines

• Experience with Azure or GCP clouds

• Experience managing database infrastructure

• Skilled in database design and documentation

• English — Intermediate or higher

Nice-to-have skills:

• Experience with generative AI

This is your role

• Design, implement, and maintain highly available, secure, and scalable database environments across on-premises and cloud platforms

• Monitor, tune, and optimize database performance, including query optimization, indexing strategies, partitioning, and capacity planning

• Ensure database security, backup, recovery, and disaster-recovery strategies are properly implemented and regularly tested

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues in production environments, ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity

• Collaborate with application, DevOps, and data engineering teams to support database design, deployments, upgrades, and migrations
