Position Summary
The Senior Database Administrator reports to the Manager, Database Platforms. He/she should have extensive knowledge of managing and supporting SQL Server database technology. The role requires expertise in architecture, design, management, replication, backup, recovery, instance/query optimization, monitoring. She/he must demonstrate strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.
Architect, design, install, configure, and upgrade SQL Server instances (2016, 2017 and later) and related software. Monitor, maintain, and optimize database performance, including tuning queries and indexing. Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, including performance bottlenecks, corruption, or connectivity problems.
