Must Have:
Experience managing relational databases (enterprise and open-source), Snowflake, and Mongo DB.
Expertise in multiple programming/scripting languages (Python, Go, Ruby, Java, Node).
Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and hybrid architectures.
Deep experience with automation, configuration management, and infrastructure-as-code.
Proven ability to troubleshoot, tune, and optimise complex database workloads.
Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying technical concepts to both technical and executive stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Architect, manage, and optimise enterprise and open-source relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, Postgre SQL, My SQL, Maria DB), cloud platforms such as Snowflake, and No SQL databases like Mongo DB.
Lead performance tuning, high-availability, and disaster recovery strategies across hybrid environments.
Automate provisioning, scaling, backups, and routine operations using infrastructure-as-code and configuration management tools (Terraform, Ansible, Chef).
Troubleshoot complex system and database issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term solutions.
Collaborate with application developers, cloud architects, and Dev Ops teams to deploy reliable and scalable systems.
Mentor junior engineers, provide technical guidance, and contribute to knowledge sharing through documentation and system diagrams.
Participate in CI/CD pipelines to integrate database changes with automated testing and deployment.
Implement monitoring, observability, and logging strategies to proactively detect and resolve issues.
Create detailed system diagrams, performance analyses, and architecture documentation for leadership review.
