SMBC is seeking a Senior Database Administrator who has a strong passion for Database Administration and is interested in building a career at a fast growing and reputable Bank. The Senior Database Administrator with at least 7 years of experience specializing in MongoDB and PostgreSQL.
We maintain a sophisticated and high-performance database environment with a strong emphasis on security and reliability. This role offers both a challenge and a unique opportunity to contribute to a forward-thinking infrastructure team.
This role will report to the Executive Director of DBA Group.
Role Objectives: Delivery
Database installation and configuration.Backup and restore procedures.Disaster recovery planning.Replication setup and management.Database security implementation and auditing.Qualifications and Skills
Advanced Bash scripting skills are essential.Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS is a significant advantage. Experience with Elasticsearch, Terraform, Ansible, and a background in Oracle are also beneficial.Have strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to demonstrate a self-motivated and disciplined approach to learning and working.Ability to work in a team environment and demonstrate leadership skills when needed.Possess a highly developed sense of personal accountability and follow-through with an ability to effectively prioritize multiple personal tasks, projects, and goals.
