Position Design Engineer


Exp- 5-8 Years


Education- BE Mechanical


Location- Prestige Techno star Whitefield Bangalore

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for Generate Piping and instrumentation diagram transformation to system design, component selection like Piping, valve, compressor etc. of refrigeration products as per ANSI, ASTM, ASHRAE, CRN standards.

  • Create detailed drawings based on sales orders for refrigeration systems in AutoCAD and SolidWorks.

  • Calculates refrigeration specifications based on display case manufacturers requirements and refrigerated walk-in cooler/freezer requirements

  • Determines proper system/equipment type to meet the customers needs

  • Selects proper compressors, condensers, evaporators, controls and other accessories to satisfy the refrigeration requirements

  • Performs design calculations to size refrigeration components based on requirements for advance refrigeration systems.

  • Component validation and propose low-cost value based on design requirement. Product enhancement.

  • Drive decisions working with US Engineers and collaborating with cross functional teams.

    • Must have skills:

  • Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering (masters preferred).

  • 58 years of experience in product design within HVAC/ Refrigeration or custom equipment domains.

  • Proven experience CAD modeling and drafting.

  • Should have knowledge on refrigeration systems. Should have experience in creating 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.

  • Generate Piping and instrumentation diagram transformation to system design, component selection like Piping, valve, compressor etc. of refrigeration products as per ANSI, ASTM and ASHRAE standards.

  • Ability to read Engineering BOM, drawings. Component validation and propose low-cost value based on design requirement. Create P&ID System drawings & BOM

  • Document and communicate well at each step. Be precise and specific in quality of engineering work. Be the owner of assigned project or task

  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written communication. Collaborate with entire organizations. Be able to work as a team
