**Overview**
We are seeking a Senior Designer to join our Social Team. This role requires a creator-minded and culturally aware designer who is fluent in social content and modern digital aesthetics.
You will be one of the visual leaders within the Social Team. You will be responsible for raising the design standard across social content, campaign assets, pitch materials, and digital communication for various clients. You will play an important role in shaping how brands appear through platform-native content, fast-moving creative, monthly calendars, integrated campaigns, and occasional shoot support.
As a senior member of the team, you will also work on projects that extend beyond social media, including pitch decks, campaign visuals, presentation design, shoot support, and integrated creative work. You will guide junior designers and help establish strong craft standards for the team.
**Responsibilities**
**Creative Development and Execution**
+ Lead and create graphic design, layout, and light motion design for social content while supporting short-form video editing such as reels, transitions, and micro-edits.
+ Develop visual systems, templates, typography guidelines, and repeatable design structures that improve efficiency and consistency across accounts.
+ Elevate the quality of day-to-day content while keeping it culturally sharp and platform appropriate.
+ Stay up to date on the competitive landscape,visual trends, creator culture, new tools, meme formats, and platform-native aesthetics.
+ Adapt creative concepts to fit platform best practices and ensure performance across social channels.
**Collaboration and Workflow**
+ Work closely with strategists, content managers, and account teams to co-develop content calendars, creative ideas, and campaign assets.
+ Support shoots by preparing design boards, on-set graphic needs, or rapid content production when required.
+ Contribute design support to new business pitches, brand workshops, presentations, and cross-agency creative tasks.
**Leadership and Mentorship**
+ Provide guidance, feedback, and design direction to junior designers and content creators.
+ Help structure workflows, improve design processes, and raise the overall craft level of the team.
+ Lead some design tasks independently and ensure efficient delivery across multiple projects.
**Craft, Consistency, and Brand Expression**
+ Protect and elevate brand visual identity across all social and integrated work.
+ Build and maintain asset libraries, brand toolkits, and design guidelines for internal and client use.
+ Ensure visual consistency in every output, from daily content to large-scale campaigns.
**Production and File Delivery**
+ Manage exports, specifications, and platform requirements across multiple formats.
+ Organize and maintain project files to support efficient team workflows.
**Qualifications**
+ 5 or more years of experience in graphic design or visual design, ideally in an agency, digital, or social-first environment.
+ Strong portfolio with social-first design, motion, and short-form video edits.
+ Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and Figma.
+ Experience designing for social platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Meta, LINE, and YouTube.
+ Native or fluent Japanese reading and writing skills strongly preferred.
+ Ability to communicate design choices clearly and confidently.
+ **Bonus** : experience with photography art direction, assisting on shoots, or basic video capture.
