Development & Design: You are responsible for the development, implementation and continuous optimization of FPGA firmware using VHDL. Toolchain management: You will use the Xilinx toolchain (Vivado, ISE) for IP integration and constraint management. Verification & Test: You will design automated test environments and carry out simulations (ModelSim, QuestaSim) and code coverage analyses. Hardware debugging: You will perform error analysis directly on the target hardware, using logic analyzers and tools such as Chipscope. System integration: You will integrate firmware into complex overall systems and support the design of the hardware architecture. Documentation & processes: You ensure quality through seamless documentation and play an active role in optimizing our development processes. Your profile
Qualifications & Experience
Degree: Successfully completed studies (Master's/Diploma) in aerospace engineering, computer science, electrical engineering or a comparable field. Professional experience: Several years of experience in firmware development, ideally in the field of safety-critical systems. Specialized knowledge
VHDL & FPGA: Expert knowledge in VHDL as well as profound experience with Xilinx platforms and timing analysis. Simulation: Confident handling of common verification methods (functional verification, assertions) and tools such as ModelSim or QuestaSim. Tools & Methods: Experience with version control systems (Git) and a deep understanding of hardware-related processes. Personality
