Senior DevOps Engineer (Azure & Google Cloud Platform) Enterprise Client Delivery

UTL is seeking an experienced Azure & GCP DevOps Engineer to design, build, and operate secure, scalable cloud infrastructure for our enterprise customers. This role works directly with client engineering teams to modernize delivery pipelines, improve reliability, and enable cloud-native transformation.
You will be responsible for cloud architecture, CI/CD automation, infrastructure-as-code, security best practices, and operational excellence across complex environments.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud Architecture & Infrastructure
Design and implement secure, scalable architectures on Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform
Build and manage cloud environments using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM, or Deployment Manager)
Architect hybrid and multi-cloud solutions where required
Design high availability, disaster recovery, and fault-tolerant systems
CI/CD & Automation
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using:
Azure DevOps
GitHub Actions
GitLab CI
Cloud Build (GCP)
Automate application deployment using Docker and Kubernetes
Implement GitOps practices for deployment consistency
Improve deployment speed, reliability, and auditability
Kubernetes & Containers
Design and manage Kubernetes clusters:
Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)
Implement container security, scaling strategies, and monitoring
Optimize workloads for performance and cost
Security & Compliance
Implement enterprise security best practices:
IAM / RBAC
Network segmentation
Secrets management (Azure Key Vault, GCP Secret Manager)
Zero Trust principles
Support compliance requirements (SOC2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, etc. depending on client)
Conduct vulnerability scans and remediation planning
Observability & Reliability
Implement monitoring and logging using:
Azure Monitor
Google Cloud Operations Suite (formerly Stackdriver)
Prometheus, Grafana
Establish SLOs, SLIs, and alerting strategies
Troubleshoot production issues and conduct root cause analysis (RCA)
Client Collaboration
Work directly with enterprise stakeholders (engineering managers, architects, security teams)
Translate business requirements into technical solutions
Provide technical leadership and best-practice guidance to client teams
Contribute to architecture documentation and technical roadmaps
Required Skills & Experience
Cloud Platforms
Strong hands-on experience with:
Microsoft Azure (core services, networking, identity, security)
Google Cloud Platform (GKE, IAM, VPC, Cloud Run, Cloud Build, etc.)
DevOps Tooling
Terraform (strongly preferred)
Docker & Kubernetes
CI/CD platforms (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab, etc.)
Git-based workflows
Programming & Scripting
Proficiency in at least one:
Python
Bash
PowerShell
Node.js (nice to have)
Architecture & Operations
Experience supporting production workloads for enterprise-scale systems
Strong understanding of:
Networking (VPCs, subnets, firewalls, private endpoints)
Identity & Access Management
Cost optimization strategies
Performance tuning
Nice to Have (Enterprise Advantage)
Experience with regulated industries (healthcare, finance, government, HR systems)
Experience with SOC2, ISO27001, HIPAA, or similar frameworks
Experience implementing platform engineering patterns
FinOps experience (cloud cost governance)
Experience with Databricks, data platforms, or analytics pipelines
