Senior DevOps Engineer (GCP | Kubernetes | GitOps | Security)

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer who will own our cloud infrastructure, DevOps practices, and security posture while playing a key role in making our platform SOC2 compliant .

Role Overview

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, securing, and scaling our infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) . You will work closely with engineering, security, and product teams to ensure high availability, performance, and compliance across our systems using modern GitOps  practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, build, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

Deploy, manage, and optimize Kubernetes (GKE)  clusters for production workloads

Implement and manage GitOps-based deployments using ArgoCD

Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using CircleCI and GitHub Actions

Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC)  using Terraform

Own cloud networking architecture , including VPCs, subnets, load balancers, firewalls, and VPNs

Implement and enforce security best practices  across infrastructure and applications

Lead initiatives to achieve and maintain SOC 2 compliance , including control implementation and evidence collection

Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and incident response mechanisms

Optimize infrastructure for cost, performance, and reliability

Manage secrets, IAM policies, and access controls following the principle of least privilege

Collaborate with development teams to improve deployment workflows, observability, and operational excellence

Create and maintain clear documentation for infrastructure, CI/CD, GitOps workflows, and security controls

Required Skills & Qualifications:

5 to 7 years of hands-on experience as a DevOps / Platform / Site Reliability Engineer

Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

Deep hands-on expertise with Kubernetes  (GKE preferred)

Strong experience implementing GitOps using ArgoCD

Hands-on experience with Terraform  for Infrastructure as Code

Hands-on experience with CircleCI and GitHub Actions

Solid understanding of cloud networking concepts  (VPC, DNS, load balancing, routing, firewalls)

Strong experience with cloud and container security practices

Experience working on or driving SOC 2 compliance  (or similar frameworks like ISO 27001)

Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, GCP Cloud Monitoring, etc.)

Strong Linux fundamentals and scripting skills (Bash, Python, or similar)

Good to Have:

Experience with Kubernetes security (RBAC, Network Policies, Pod Security Standards)

Experience with compliance audits and working directly with auditors

Knowledge of disaster recovery, backup strategies, and high availability architectures

Exposure to SRE practices and reliability engineering

Experience in SaaS or high-scale production environments
