Senior DevOps Engineer

Job Description

1. Role Overview

We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to streamline deployment processes, automate infrastructure, and ensure reliability across all environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms, containerization, and monitoring tools.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. CI/CD Pipeline Development

• 
  

  Design, build, and maintain end-to-end CI/CD pipelines.

  
  


• 
  

  Automate build, test, and deployment workflows using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.

  
  


• 
  

  Implement version control best practices and branching strategies.

  
  

B. Cloud Infrastructure Management

• 
  

  Deploy, manage, and scale cloud resources on AWS, GCP, or Azure.

  
  


• 
  

  Work with IaC tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.

  
  


• 
  

  Configure load balancers, networking, security groups, auto-scaling, and storage.

  
  

C. Containerization & Orchestration

• 
  

  Create and manage Docker containers.

  
  


• 
  

  Deploy and maintain Kubernetes clusters (EKS, AKS, GKE, or self-managed).

  
  


• 
  

  Implement service mesh, ingress controllers, and Helm charts.

  
  

D. Monitoring, Logging & Reliability

• 
  

  Set up observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, New Relic).

  
  


• 
  

  Create alerting rules and dashboards for performance and health monitoring.

  
  


• 
  

  Analyze system outages and conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for incidents.

  
  

E. Automation & Scripting

• 
  

  Write automation scripts using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

  
  


• 
  

  Automate repetitive tasks across infrastructure and application layers.

  
  


• 
  

  Improve deployment speed, reliability, and rollback mechanisms.

  
  

3. Qualifications

Required Skills

• 
  

  Strong understanding of Linux systems and cloud fundamentals.

  
  


• 
  

  Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and IaC.

  
  


• 
  

  Knowledge of Docker & Kubernetes.

  
  


• 
  

  Familiarity with version control (Git) and GitOps workflows.

  
  

Preferred Skills

• 
  

  Experience with microservices architecture.

  
  


• 
  

  Knowledge of security best practices, secrets management, and zero-downtime deployments.

  
  


• 
  

  Certifications like AWS DevOps Engineer, CKA/CKAD.

  
  

4. Salary Range

• 
  

  6 LPA – 20 LPA based on experience and cloud expertise.
