Senior DevOps Engineer

Position Title: DevOps Engineer
Location: On-Site; CBD Belapur, Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra
Experience Required: 3-6 years
   Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the cloud enablement team and guide application teams on Azure best practices, coding standards, and infrastructure consumption guidelines.
  

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for both application and infrastructure deployments across cloud and on-premise environments.
  

• Demonstrates a strong understanding of Ansible playbooks, roles, host management, infrastructure automation, and YAML.
  

• Ensure system reliability, performance, and adherence to security standards.
  

• Work closely with developers to streamline deployment workflows and improve release efficiency.
  

• Configure, monitor, and maintain alerting mechanisms to meet operational support requirements.
  

• Coordinate with workload managers to ensure alignment between business needs and development workflows.
  

• Monitor and enforce network security, including managing cloud firewalls and related security controls.
  

• Maintain stability, performance, and security of virtualised environments.
  

• Contribute to backup strategy, disaster recovery planning, and periodic testing.
  

• Recommend improvements in virtual hardware, infrastructure components, and system configurations.
  

• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
  

• Troubleshoot and resolve moderately complex configuration, network, and software-related issues.
  

• Liaise with vendors and service providers to handle escalated system concerns.
  

• Analyse, evaluate, and recommend new systems, tools, and technologies to improve performance and efficiency.
  

• Review infrastructure work to ensure compliance with organisational standards and guidelines.
  

Requirements:

• Strong experience working with on-premise environments and infrastructure operations.
  

• Hands-on expertise with Red Hat, Ubuntu, SFTP server, MySQL server, and managing file systems.
  

• Solid understanding of NGINX as a reverse proxy in production-grade environments.
  

• Ability to document and communicate moderate to complex technical issues for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  

• Experience working in Scrum-based Agile teams.
  

• Good understanding of Ansible playbooks, roles, hosts, infrastructure management, and YAML
  

• Ability to independently perform routine operational tasks with minimal supervision.
  

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to diagnose moderately complex issues across systems, applications, and infrastructure components.
  

• Knowledge of project management methodologies and understanding of project life cycle phases.
  

• Ability to gather requirements, perform systems analysis, and contribute to system design activities.
  

• Capability to evaluate technical specifications and translate them into workable solutions.
  

• Proficiency in Linux shell scripting.
  

Good to Have:

• Exposure to other cloud platforms such as AWS, DigitalOcean, or extended Azure services.
