About the Role
We're looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to lead and evolve the internal DevOps tooling ecosystem of a major enterprise client. This is not just a technical role—you will lead a team of tool support engineers, manage the CI/CD stack, ensure governance and compliance, and act as a DevOps evangelist across a large-scale, distributed organization.
You'll be responsible for driving adoption of best practices, ensuring operational excellence, and contributing to the strategic roadmap of DevOps capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Enablement
Lead and mentor the DevOps Tools Support team.
Manage workload distribution, priorities, and escalations.
Cultivate a culture of ownership, agility, and continuous improvement.
DevOps Tools Management
Own, optimize, and maintain the toolchain: Jenkins, Git (GitLab/GitHub/Bitbucket), Jira, Confluence, SonarQube, Artifactory, etc.
Ensure reliability, performance, and compliance of the entire DevOps stack.
Collaborate with security and compliance to align on governance.
Stakeholder Engagement
Onboard new teams into the DevOps ecosystem.
Promote CI/CD and DevOps standards across engineering teams.
Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strategy & Continuous Improvement
Identify opportunities for automation, standardization, and tool integration.
Contribute to the strategic roadmap of the DevOps platform.
Evangelize modern DevOps practices: Infrastructure as Code, containerization, observability, etc.
Must-Have Skills
5+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or SRE roles.
Strong hands-on experience with:
Jenkins, Git (Bitbucket/GitLab/GitHub)
CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible)
Docker, Kubernetes
AWS
Monitoring tools: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK
Experience leading a DevOps support team or platform team.
Familiarity with governance, security, and compliance in enterprise environments.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Ability to work autonomously and influence organizational change.
Nice-to-Have
Experience in enterprise IT environments with complex toolchains.
Background in change management, ITSM, or regulatory compliance.
Familiarity with GitHub Advanced Security or similar tooling.
