Job Title: Senior Director – Human Resources

Reporting to: VP – Human Resources

Position Overview


The Senior Director – Human Resources is responsible for shaping and executing the global people strategy while ensuring strong day-to-day HR delivery across regions. This role combines strategic ownership with hands-on leadership, ensuring that HR initiatives translate into measurable employee experience, workforce stability, and organizational effectiveness.

The role requires a leader who can operate at enterprise strategy level while remaining deeply connected to execution, governance, and outcomes.


Key Responsibilities

1. HR Strategy & Workforce Planning

  • Define and execute the global HR strategy aligned with business priorities
  • Lead workforce planning, capability planning, and future-ready org design
  • Translate business goals into people programs with clear outcomes
  • Drive consistency in HR philosophy across geographies

2. Employee Experience & Engagement

  • Own the hire-to-exit employee experience framework
  • Ensure high-quality onboarding, engagement, ER, and exit experiences
  • Monitor engagement, eNPS, attrition, and early-tenure risk indicators
  • Partner with regional HR teams to implement EX improvements on the ground

3. HR Operations, Payroll & Compliance

  • Provide leadership oversight for HR operations, payroll, and statutory compliance
  • Ensure HR systems and processes are efficient, accurate, and scalable
  • Maintain strong governance, controls, and audit readiness
  • Resolve escalated operational issues and systemic gaps

4. Regional HR Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead and coach regional HR heads and HR partners across geographies
  • Ensure strong execution of HR programs at the location level
  • Build leadership capability and succession within the HR function
  • Set clear performance expectations and accountability

5. Employee Relations & Risk Management

  • Act as escalation authority for complex or high-risk employee relations matters
  • Ensure ER cases are handled fairly, consistently, and legally sound
  • Partner with legal and leadership teams on sensitive people issues
  • Proactively identify and mitigate people-related risks

6. Manager Enablement & Business Partnership

  • Strengthen manager capability in onboarding, feedback, performance, and engagement
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior business leaders
  • Coach leaders on people decisions, culture, and organizational health
  • Balance employee advocacy with business requirements

7. Data, Metrics & HR Governance

  • Own HR dashboards and metrics across:
  • Employee experience
  • Engagement and attrition
  • ER trends
  • HR operations performance
  • Use insights to drive corrective actions and improvements
  • Ensure disciplined governance, documentation, and follow-through


Experience & Qualifications

Required

  • 16–18+ years of progressive HR leadership experience
  • Proven experience in multi-location or global HR roles
  • Strong background in: Employee Experience, Employee Relations, HR Operations & Governance

Preferred

  • SHRM-SCP, SPHR/GPHR (HRCI), or CIPD Level 7 ; additional certifications in employee relations, change management, or HR analytics are an advantage.
  • Experience in fast-growing or transforming organizations
  • Exposure to HR technology and system-driven HR models
