Job Description: Senior Display Metrology Engineer

Experience: 5 to 10 Years

Work location: Bangalore


Mandatory Responsibilities

  • Provide complete metrology support within the Display Technology (DT) project team, including optical and touch measurement concepts, standards, and methods.
  • Develop measurement concepts and translate them into standardized measurement procedures for current and future DT technologies.
  • Perform and evaluate measurements at component, subassembly, and full‑product levels to support design, validation, industrialization, and release processes.
  • Execute measurements for all release samples during development and serial production.
  • Perform calibration and ensure traceability of measurement equipment used in production environments.
  • Create, document, and maintain photometric calibration reference devices (PCR).
  • Verify End‑of‑Line (EOL) measurement settings and validate production measurement performance.
  • Classify, refine, and analyze DT requirements and perform functional analysis.
  • Address requirement gaps and ensure clarity across development stakeholders.
  • Support DT integration & verification activities, including management of the Component Qualification Matrix (CQM) for DT components.
  • Create and update DT product‑specific test documents such as Product Test Specification (PTS), DT Verification Test Plan, and DT Sample Plan.
  • Perform integration of DT components and prepare integration test environments.
  • Define integration test specifications and test plans and ensure test sample preparation.
  • Evaluate test results against defined specifications and support component technical release.

  • Drive lessons learned capture for DT integration, verification, and metrology activities.
  • Regularly update DT sample plans, CQM matrices, and PTS documentation based on test outcomes and incidents.
  • Engage with suppliers for metrology‑related topics, equipment capability discussions, and validation of measurement concepts.
  • Support internal teams such as Display Design, Mechanical Engineering, Validation Engineering, and NPL (New Product Launch) teams with metrology insights.
  • Collaborate with customers for specific measurement method alignments, clarifications, or benchmarking needs.
  • Participate in requirement refinement workshops, cross‑functional design reviews, and early concept evaluations.
  • Contribute to process improvements in measurement workflows, calibration standards, and traceability practices.
