THE ROLE
The Senior Electrical Design Engineer is responsible for:
- Lead the design and development of AC-DC, DC-DC converters, isolated and non-isolated topologies
- Perform schematic design, PCB layout guidance, and component selection for power electronics systems.
- Conduct simulation and modelling (SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink, or equivalent) to validate design concepts.
- Oversee prototype build, testing, and validation of designs against performance, safety, and reliability requirements.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in electrical design, with a strong focus on SMPS development.
- Proven expertise in topologies such as flyback, forward, buck, boost, half-bridge, full-bridge, LLC resonant converters.
- Strong knowledge of magnetics design (transformers, inductors) and thermal management.
