This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electrical Designer to join a high-performing team and contribute to the success of a key client. In this role, you will support an established team focused on delivery for a Gold project.

Wood is recruiting for a Senior Electrical Designer to join our Brisbane team in our Minerals & Metals division to work on a gold project. This is a full-time position open for permanent or contract.

Expected:

You will be able to work lawfully in Australia and hold full working rights for this location. 

Ideally you will have proven experience working in a similar role, supported by 10+ years of relevant design experience within the Mining and / or processing industries.  

In addition, you will:

• Prior experience in Electrical design within mineral processing facilities
• Strong knowledge in applying relevant Electrical / Instrumentation industry design practices and key national and international standards and codes
• Good written, verbal and presentation skills, particularly the ability to communicate discipline requirements to other members of the project team 
• Ability to deliver best practice design and drafting, with emphasis on cost-effective design 
• Competency in MicroStation and/or AutoCAD
• Knowledge of and exposure to key Clients in Mining & Minerals
