Senior Electrical Engineer – Exmouth, Australia

Raytheon is seeking a motivated Senior Electrical Engineer to join a diverse, talented team on-site in Exmouth. Reporting to the Mission Systems Manager, you will support and sustain one of the world’s most sensitive telescopes.

Key Responsibilities

• Prime Electrical Engineer for the SST Mission System, supporting operation of the telescope and its facility.
• Support Senior Electrical Engineer with power generation, transmission, plant equipment, radar and control system sustainment.
• Develop solutions that meet customer requirements within cost, schedule and quality constraints.
• Perform defect investigations, maintenance investigations and special technical instructions.
• Liaise with Engineering Manager on project engineering issues, design process and engineering change development.
• Participate in technical reviews within the Program and plan, estimate and schedule electrical engineering tasks.
• Conduct risk assessments of Electrical Engineering Hazards and propose design solutions.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with at least four years of post-graduate professional engineering experience.
• Ability to resolve defects on a diverse range of electrical systems.
• Willingness to maintain Chartered Professional Engineering status via Engineers Australia.
• Familiarity with Australian Standard (AS) electrical standards and WA legislation.
• Preferred familiarity with SCADA, Siemens and Allen‑Bradley control systems.
• Candidate must be eligible to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance and satisfy ITAR compliance.
