Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer
Location: Bangalore

Role Overview

The Senior Electrical Engineer will be responsible for leading electrical design, installation, testing, and commissioning activities across assigned projects. The role involves overseeing electrical systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards, coordinating with cross-functional teams, resolving technical issues, and delivering safe, reliable, and energy-efficient solutions. The position demands hands-on experience in project engineering, electrical layouts, load calculations, and power distribution systems, with strong leadership and problem-solving capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems, equipment, and components.

  • Prepare and review electrical drawings, schematics, single-line diagrams, and technical documentation.

  • Conduct electrical load calculations, cable sizing, power distribution, grounding, and lighting system design.

  • Review technical specifications, BOQs, material submittals, and ensure compliance with project requirements.

  • Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems at project sites.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues related to equipment, controls, or installations.

  • Ensure adherence to IEC, IS, NEC, NFPA, and other applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.

  • Collaborate with mechanical, civil, and project management teams to ensure seamless execution.

  • Evaluate vendor proposals and liaise with suppliers, consultants, and contractors.

  • Perform preventive maintenance planning, risk assessments, and ensure electrical safety protocols.

  • Provide technical guidance and mentor junior engineers and site technicians.

  • Prepare project status reports, progress documentation, and technical presentations.

    • Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree ( or Master’s degree ( in Electrical Engineering.

  • Minimum 7–10 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering roles.

  • Proven experience in electrical system design, installation, and commissioning in industrial/commercial projects.

    • Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of power distribution systems, MCCs, LV/MV switchgear, transformers, motors, and control panels.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, ETAP, Revit MEP, or similar electrical design software.

  • In-depth understanding of electrical codes, standards, and statutory regulations.

  • Expertise in load flow analysis, short circuit analysis, cable calculations, and protection coordination.

  • Familiarity with PLC, SCADA, BMS, and automation/control systems (if applicable).

  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.

  • Strong reporting, documentation, and project coordination abilities.

  • Effective leadership and communication skills to manage multi-disciplinary teams.
