Senior Electrical Engineer – Project Execution (Data Center)
Experience: 4–10 years

Job Summary
The Electrical Engineer – Project Execution is responsible for end-to-end execution, installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems in data center and mission-critical environments , ensuring high availability, redundancy, safety, and compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
Project Execution & Site Management
Execute electrical works in line with approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
Coordinate with civil, mechanical, BMS, fire, and IT teams for integrated execution.
Supervise contractors and vendors to ensure quality, safety, and timely delivery.
Track daily progress and support project planning and reporting.
Electrical Systems Implementation
Installation and commissioning of:
HT/LT panels, Transformers, RMUs
UPS systems (static, modular), Battery banks
Diesel Generators (DG), Synchronization panels
Bus ducts, LT cabling, earthing & lightning protection
PDU, RPP, and power distribution systems
Ensure proper system redundancy (N, N+1, 2 N) as per design.
Testing & Commissioning
Lead or support pre-commissioning, testing, and integrated systems testing (IST).
Coordinate FAT, SAT, and third-party inspections.
Validate protection settings, load tests, and power failover scenarios.
Support reliability and uptime requirements.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
Ensure compliance with IS, IEC, IEEE, NFPA, NBC, and local authority regulations.
Implement QA/QC procedures and maintain inspection & test records.
Enforce site safety practices and permit-to-work systems.
Documentation & Handover
Prepare and review as-built drawings, test reports, and O&M manuals.
Support project handover to operations and facility management teams.
Provide technical support during DLP and initial operations phase.
Mandatory Skills & Technical Expertise
Strong experience in data center or mission-critical electrical projects
Hands-on knowledge of:
UPS, DG, Transformers, Switchgear
Power distribution & protection systems
Earthing and lightning protection
Understanding of redundancy architectures and reliability concepts
Experience coordinating with OEMs, PMCs, and clients
Tools & Systems
Auto CAD (electrical drawings review)
MS Excel, MS Project
Exposure to EPMS / BMS / DCIM integration (preferred)
Soft Skills
Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills
Problem-solving and troubleshooting mindset
Ability to work under tight timelines in critical environments
Clear communication and documentation skills
Education & Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
Certifications in Electrical Safety / Data Center / Project Management (preferred)
Preferred Experience
Tier III / Tier IV Data Center projects
EPC / PMC / Client-side project exposure
Large-scale, high-availability infrastructure projects
