Senior Electrical Engineer – Atlanta Area

An established design firm is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their team in the Atlanta area. This role will focus on the design and coordination of electrical systems for commercial, retail, and mixed-use buildings.


The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise along with leadership capabilities to support project delivery and mentor junior staff.


Key Responsibilities


  • Design building electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and fire alarm.




  • Conduct system analysis, load calculations, and equipment selection.




  • Prepare construction documents and technical specifications.




  • Apply relevant building codes and standards.




  • Coordinate closely with in-house architecture and engineering teams to meet project goals and deadlines.




  • Manage or support multiple active projects.




  • Provide mentorship within the electrical engineering team.




  • Participate in occasional site visits and client meetings.


    • Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.




  • PE license in Georgia (required).




  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.




  • Ideally someone with 10 years of experience in building electrical system design, with a focus on commercial, retail, or mixed-use projects.




  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.




  • Revit experience strongly preferred.




  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; team-oriented leadership style.
