Senior Electrical Project Engineer (Studies)

ECG Engineering leads in Electrical Engineering for Mining, Utilities, Materials Handling and Industrial sectors worldwide. With offices in Perth, Brisbane, Toronto, Manila, Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania & Cape Town, we design and deliver complex projects from early study to commissioning and handover.

We require a Senior Electrical Project Engineer to join the project studies team, aiding in planning and delivering large complex international resource projects. This role suits engineering / construction professionals with 8–20+ years experience passionate about major project environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, study and design electrical engineering packages for large mineral processing projects, both office and site.
  • Integrate studies into construction, estimates and manpower forecasting.
  • Work across Australia and worldwide, collaborating in a dynamic, multi‑project environment.

Ideal Key Experience

  • Major mineral processing project experience (office and site).
  • Construction experience with process and linkages understanding.
  • Electrical engineering and plant package expertise.
  • Strong cost control and reporting skillset.
  • Experience in Project Controls, Planning & Estimating.

Skills and Attributes

  • B Eng Electrical or equivalent.
  • Excellent report writing and written communication.
  • Cost control / reporting experience.
  • Moderate to good Excel and Project Wise knowledge.
  • Project Forecasting and Planning experience.
  • Tendering and estimating experience.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Ultra positive work attitude and organization criticality.

You will gain deep insight and experience in complex project delivery, working with a seasoned project planning and delivery pro team.
