ITW Global Automotive in India has 2 manufacturing facilities in Pune & Chennai and caters to majority of the Auto OEM’s both national and multinational and their tier suppliers.

The Opportunity:

The job purpose of a Senior APQP Engineer typically involves overseeing and managing the Advanced Product Quality

Planning (APQP) process to ensure that new products meet customer requirements, quality standards, and production

timeline

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Developing & Completion of APQP related deliverable including PFEMA, DVPR (Design Verification Plan Reports), PFD (Process Flow Diagram) & CP (Control Plan).
• PPAP documentations for new products as well as existing projects.
• Conduct DVP (Design Verification Plan) testing in house as well as outsource
• Co- ordinating with sub supplier and Develop the gauges , Master buck, fixtures from them
• APQP Time Plan and its Adherence.
• Establish timelines for completing different stages of the APQP process for each project
• Co-ordination with sub-supplier for PPAP submission
• Conduct MSA & SPC study of NPD parts
• Attend Product trail & PTR (Production Trail Run) with customer & Internal Team
• Attend Product trail & PTR (Production Trail Run) with customer & Internal Team
• Review of Layout Inspection of New Project development parts
• Should be exposed to documentation and process of ISO ,IATF
• Process FMEA & Control Plan review as per yearly plan
• PPAP documentation for NPD & existing projects
• Conduct DVP (Design Verification Plan & Validation) testing in house as well as outsource & review with customer
• Maintain proper documentation as per ISO/IATF 16949 standards and support quality audits and customer reviews.
• Support internal and external audits to maintain certifications and drive quality improvement.
• Lead problem-solving efforts for quality issues using methodologies like 8D, 5-Why, and root cause analysis for NPD Parts
• Maintain the MRM Data for NPD Parts
• Maintain the Open issue list and its Closure with Action Plan
• Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the organization
• Train to junior engineers and cross-functional team members on APQP processes and quality tool..
• Champions digitization and automation of processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness of organization processes
• Defines and drives values, ITW Business Model and decentralized culture of the organization with the leadership team.

Experience:

4- 8 yrs of experience in relevant field. BE / Diploma in Mechanical / Plastic Engineering, Diploma-Plastic Technology/ CIPET. Knowledge of Quality Standards (MSA, SPC, PPAP, APQP, FMEA,8 D, 7QC Tools)
