Senior Engineer

Overview

Reporting to the Engineering Manager and supported by Technical Leads, the Senior GeoStructural Engineer leads the design and delivery of high-risk geostructural projects—primarily buried bridges, retaining walls/abutments, and sound barrier walls—for Canadian and international markets. The role blends structural and geotechnical expertise (including soil–structure interaction) to manage technical risk, solve complex field/fabrication issues, and mentor engineers/designers while contributing to AIL’s culture of collaboration, curiosity, resilience, leadership, and accountability.

Key responsibilities

• Lead designer forhigh-risk projects involving buried bridges, bridge abutments, footings, retaining walls, and sound barrier wall systems (Canada + international).
