Senior Engineer, Configuration Management

Overview

The Senior Engineer, Configuration Management of Consilio will manage the build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and an expert DevOps engineer who can automate and accelerate the release and deployment of applications into a runtime environment quickly and reliably.

Responsibilities

· Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes of applications.

· Working with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended.

· Working on CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins.

· Working on various DevOps and configuration management tools GitHub, Jenkins, Ansible tower, JIRA, Chef.

· Working on VMware platform.

· Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time.

· Troubleshooting techniques and fixing the code bugs.

· Embrace database DevOps automation.

· Implement database continuous integration and continuous delivery.

· Make the database release workflow consistent and stable.

· Implementing various automation tools and IT infrastructure as required.

· Any Graduate in Computer and Information science technology Specialization.

Minimum Experience Requirements

· Minimum 7 years’ experience in IT

· 4 years of experience with DevOps / software engineering role.

· Experience working in a geographically dispersed team environment.

· Strong hands-on knowledge of configuration management and deployment tools like Ansible, Chef, Jenkins, JIRA, and Git & GitHub workflows.

· Should be proficient and hands-on knowledge of Groovy scripting.

· Should be experience in developing Continuous integration / Continuous Delivery pipeline (CI/CD).

· Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

· Experience working on Windows and Linux based infrastructure.

· Able to set objectives, meet deadlines and work under pressure in a fast moving business.

Good hands-on knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server script deployment tools..

· Awareness of Agile principles.
