Senior Engineer - Generation (Project Management)

Job Summary

The Senior Engineer – Power Generation serves as a project‑focused technical leader responsible for managing and delivering complex electrical capital and outage projects across Alliant Energy’s thermal power plants in Wisconsin. The role blends strong project management capability with practical electrical engineering experience, often involving medium and high‑voltage such systems such as switchgears, MCCs, transformers, and ESP equipment, while working closely with plant operations, union craft labor, contractors, OEMs, and internal engineering teams to ensure safe, reliable, and cost‑effective execution from scope development through commissioning and closeout. It also includes providing guidance to less‑experienced engineers and project personnel to support organizational capability.
