Job Overview

We are looking for a candidate who is result driven, self-motivated, an innovative designer with sound knowledge in creating 3d model and assembly in Autodesk Inventor.

A Day In The Life

  • Use 3D modeling software to design products and components
  • Input and track associate parts required for design and generate a BOM & costing.
  • Work with marketing team members to assess customer feedback and align to product development.
  • Create, develop, evaluate new product design concepts following ANSI, IEC, IEEE & Telcordia standards.
  • Conduct design for manufacturability events.
  • Coordinate and perform experiments to test and verify product design.
  • Track progress and action items for ongoing design projects.
  • Participate in Kaizen improvement events.
  • Assisting in troubleshooting and root cause failure analysis for product enhancement.
  • Attend seminars and conferences to be up to date on connector technology

    • What will help you thrive in this role?

    Minimum 6-8 yrs. Design Engineer, with focus on Medium/High Voltage connectors and fiber optic products/accessories, will lead and participate in New Product Development for distribution, substation, transmission, and communication market products.

    Knowledge in plastic designs, 3D printing & prototype development.

    Should have working knowledge in Autodesk inventor & Solid works

    i-logic, form, template creation in Inventor, Auto CAD, Mold flow simulation
