In your new role, you will:

  • Provide day-to-day technical support and administrative tasks for databases, including complex troubleshooting
  • Install, configure, monitor, and perform backups for new databases
  • Deliver 2nd tier response, analyze issues, and plan resolutions for existing problems
  • Manage incident and change management processes on a daily basis
  • Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance tuning on databases
  • Coordinate with vendors for critical technical support
  • Document system processes and procedures; continuously improve processes and documentation in collaboration with senior engineers
  • Maintain, upgrade, and enhance current databases globally, ensuring proper lifecycle management
  • Collaborate with application teams and data center staff on projects and support activities such as preventive maintenance
