In your new role, you will:
- Provide day-to-day technical support and administrative tasks for databases, including complex troubleshooting
- Install, configure, monitor, and perform backups for new databases
- Deliver 2nd tier response, analyze issues, and plan resolutions for existing problems
- Manage incident and change management processes on a daily basis
- Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance tuning on databases
- Coordinate with vendors for critical technical support
- Document system processes and procedures; continuously improve processes and documentation in collaboration with senior engineers
- Maintain, upgrade, and enhance current databases globally, ensuring proper lifecycle management
- Collaborate with application teams and data center staff on projects and support activities such as preventive maintenance
