Job Summary

:

Design / Selection / Engineering of power island system, cooling water system, feed water, condensate and other BOP/ utility systems. Candidate should have worked for execution of Basic/Conceptual Engineering, FEED, EPCM, EPC modes of execution for Indian and International projects. Experience in P&ID preparation, basic design and calculations for line sizing, pressure drop, pipe thickness, Gas Turbine Generator (GTG), Steam Turbine Generator (STG), Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG), Air Cooled Condenser (ACC), Boiler Feed Pump (BFP), Condensate Extraction Pump (CEP), and other BOP equipment.

Candidate having design and detail engineering experience in Semiconductor facility, Battery manufacturing and data center will be added advantage.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Design and optimize power plant systems
  • Generation of P&ID, design criteria, system descriptions and technical specifications
  • Preparation of datasheets, material requisition, service requisition, technical bid evaluation
  • Managing cost and schedule for the assigned activities
  • Support project / proposal activities
  • Interact with Global offices, execute work on workshare mode.
  • Coordinate technical issues with other departments on projects 
  • Participating in IDC process. Interaction with Engineering disciplines, Clients / PMC, Bidders / Vendors
  • Develop standard documentation for use on projects
  • Implement/Capture Lesson Learnt
  • Any other Study / Report required during project execution activities
  • Ensuring quality for the deliverables /work done
  • Resolving Vendor/Site queries. Interaction with Inspection Agencies, Expeditors, other agencies for delivery of Equipment/Packages
  • Develop / assist in documentation for progress reporting
  • Actively pursue value engineering, design and cost optimization program.
  • Travel to assist activities at other Engineering Offices, Clients / PMC, Bidders / Vendors, Supplier’s Works, Construction Sites.

    • Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university and 14+ years of relevant work experience
  • The candidate will work as part of Global Bechtel team and should have basic flair for working with personnel of different nationalities. Should have a good proficiency for spoken and written English language.

    • Required Knowledge and Skills:

    This role will help in the development, review, and finalization of critical project deliverables like:

  • Conceptual / basic, detail engineering, Heat and mass balance diagram, water balance diagram.
  • Knowledge of different Licenser specific design requirements and construction features.
  • Ability to quickly provide data for carrying out preliminary detailing / estimation by Mechanical and other Engineering disciplines.
  • Knowledge of industry / regulatory codes and standards.
  • Trouble shooting, resolution of Client and site queries.
  • Knowledge & assessment of Suppliers capabilities. 
  • Ability to coordinate work with other engineering disciplines and other stakeholders including other offices.
  • Broad working knowledge of the principles and practices of executing large projects. 
  • Good oral as well as written communication skills are essential.
  • Proficiency in software application such as GateCycle™, GT PRO and ST PRO for gas turbine combined cycle and cogeneration plant design and optimization
