Senior Product Applications Engineer
About the Role
As a Senior Product Applications Engineer at Analog Devices (ADI), you will lead the creation of tools that assist customers in integrating ADI products into their designs. You will provide innovative, practical, and timely solutions to complex customer issues while developing and applying comprehensive system-level understanding of application segments. In this senior role, you'll work collaboratively within cross-discipline teams to bring new products to market, mentor junior team members, and serve as a technical authority for customers and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
System-Level Expertise: Apply and expand comprehensive understanding of relevant application segments to solve complex integration challenges and optimize customer designsAdvanced Tool Development: Lead the creation of sophisticated application tools, reference boards, and software that demonstrate product capabilities and accelerate customer adoptionStrategic Cross-Functional Collaboration: Drive collaboration across engineering, marketing, and sales teams to streamline product development, accelerate market introduction, and achieve business objectivesComplex Problem Solving: Resolve sophisticated technical challenges for strategic customers, applying deep product knowledge and creative problem-solving approachesComprehensive Product Validation: Design and execute thorough testing methodologies to validate product specifications, define operational boundaries, and ensure reliable performance across diverse application environmentsTechnical Leadership: Serve as a subject matter expert for specific product lines or application segments, providing guidance to junior team members and customersCompetitive Intelligence: Conduct in-depth analysis of competitor products, create detailed comparison tables, and provide strategic insights to maintain ADI's competitive advantageMarket-Specific Knowledge: Ensure products meet qualification requirements for specialized markets through rigorous testing and validation processes

Preferred Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical field; Master's degree preferred5+ years of experience in product applications engineering, customer technical support, or related rolesDemonstrated expertise with analog and mixed-signal semiconductor productsExperience mentoring junior engineers and leading technical projects
