Job Description
In this role you will be responsible in developing and optimizing supplier processes through audits, workshops, and projects to enhance quality, reduce defects, and improve Festo’s overall competitiveness. It involves coordinating with Purchasing, Engineering, and plants to set targets, monitor KPIs, ensure compliance with standards, and support supply chain reliability.
Your job:
Development and establishment of robust processes at suppliers to sustainably improve supplier competitiveness and by that the competitiveness of Festo by doing system/process reviews/audits, workshops and projects for both series parts and noveltiesSupport of the global/regional/local Purchasing, the Purchasing BUs, the Engineering Centres (TEC) and the plants (GPC, RSC) in terms of supplier development and the quality of externally purchased parts to achieve an optimal QCD performanceSupport of supply chain to safeguarding parts supply plus the responsibility to reduce bad parts from/at suppliers
Report to Purchasing Head on supplier development strategy, processes, quality improvement programs on a weekly basisCoordinate with suppliers for target setting on yearly basis and review of target achievements on a monthly / quarterly basisAudit vendors / suppliers on purchase components on periodical basis for sustained Quality performance and in compliance to the standards defined by Global Purchasing.Manage the Supplier Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), ensure compliance and assist with adherence to the QMS Your qualification:
Diploma or B. E. Mechanical Engineering with 7-10 years of experience in the following areas:
Sound knowledge in HPDC, Machining, Injection moulding, Investment casting, Rubber parts, Standard parts & Electro-mechanical parts.In-depth experience as a lead auditor in Quality & Environment auditsQuality processes, methods and Statistical Quality tools knowledge
