THE ROLE A Site Reliability Engineer (Systems Engineer) is a member of the Technical Services Team that’s responsible for maintaining and supporting Linedata hosted solutions on premises as well as on the public cloud.Technical Services team is responsible for uninterrupted functioning of hosted client production environments and works as a tier three technical escalation point for our production support team. Primary responsibility of the SRE will be to work with our product teams that are building highly scalable, containerized, microservice based solutions, and deploying / maintaining those in Linedata hosted client environments. It involves design and building system infrastructure (infrastructure as code), implementing security policies, deploying Linedata product suite onto the infrastructure and ensuring its uninterrupted functioning in a client’s production environment. This role will have a strong focus on application / infrastructure deployment automation and automation of other tasks that need to be performed frequently within the environment.We have both on-prem as well as cloud hosted model for our client, but this position will be primarily responsible for our cloud hosting, hence the emphasis would be on someone who has solid experience with networking, security and infrastructure on the public cloud specifically Microsoft Azure.This position requires work hours that overlap with U.S. Boston work shifts. It also requires some weekend and out-of-hours availability for on-call rotation, disaster recovery tests, Change Control and project work. Responsibilities: · Install, maintain, upgrade and improve Linedata Hosted production systems· Develop and maintain automation for building infrastructure and running Linedata products· Building and maintaining production environments with scalability, reliability, disaster recovery planning, monitoring, security, and high performance.· Work with product time to ensure that the product is complaint with SRE checklist (requirements) for deploying into a client’s environment.· Work with Linedata project teams to complete new client implementation or existing client’s upgrade of Linedata products.· Play an integral role in providing monitoring and diagnosis of technical issues with Linedata hosted production systems.· Provide Linedata Production Services with 3rd level support related to Application Environment, Infrastructure and Operational issues.· Create Documentation and adhere to Linedata Change Control process to be SOC 2 audit complaintJob Requirement Requirements · Engineering graduate or Computer Science Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years’ experience with IT Infrastructure, Networking & Security.· Candidate must have solid experience with deploying, maintaining and supporting scalable cloud-based solution in a production environment.· Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.· Ability to work on an on-call basis and provide coverage during non-standard business hours including public/market holidays.
