Job Description

Purpose of Position:
To handle the Supplier Development and Qualification Process, Product Development and Qualification Process, Monitoring the Performance of the Suppliers and Drive for Improvements and Handling of Supplier Related Quality Issues (at GVRI and from the Field) and Resolving the same at the STP, TRJ and Nozzle Assembly.


Key Responsibilities:


o Qualify the Suppliers based on Vontier Requirements (Approved Supplier > 80%)
o Qualify the Parts (FAI and VPQP) with First Time Right by 100%
o Reduce the Quality Complaints and Rejections of Suppliers by < 100 PPM
o Improve the Suppliers Performance into Preferred Category (Preferred Supplier > 85%)


Education & Experience: The ideal candidate will have
Total Experience in years: Around 8 Years
Graduation/ Degree : B.E Mechanical Engineer
Post-Graduation/ PGDM : Nil
Mandatory Certifications Required: Nil
Other preferred courses/ certifications: Quality Tools, Six Sigma and PPAP Etc,.


Background and Skills:
 This candidate should have the experience in the Quality Function from the Manufacturing Process Industries such as Grey Iron Casting, Aluminum Die Casting, Machining, Plastic Molding, Rubber Molding and Surface Treatment Etc,.
 Should have a hands on experience in Supplier Qualification, Parts Development and Qualification and Quality Complaints Handling (8D, 7 QC Tools and Six Sigma Etc.,) Etc,.
 Should have an Experience in handling the various Measuring Instruments such as Profile Projector, Video Measuring Machine and CMM Etc,.
