Senior Engineer, Systems Planning (Transmission) Hybrid Schedule

Independently develop and maintain the system models for transmission studies including collection, review and/or modification of a variety of electric system parameters: equipment ratings, impedances, contingency sets, protection and control parameters, as well as system topology.

Conducts adequacy assessments and develops options to meet delivery objectives with latitude for independent action and decision making. Typical reliability studies include analyses of power flow, transient stability, short circuit, and electromagnetic transients. Identifies key technical issues and develops solutions.

Responsible to understand, interpret and apply industry and corporate transmission planning standards and the regulations of Federal, State and Local authorities.

Represents the department and the company on various industry related committees.
