Overview of the role

As a Senior Engineering Manager , you will lead and scale high-performing engineering teams responsible for building reliable, scalable, and impactful technology solutions. You will play a key role in aligning engineering execution with business strategy, ensuring teams deliver high-quality software that supports growth, innovation, and operational excellence.

Acting as both a people leader and strategic partner , you will define priorities, set technical direction, and support the evolution of systems and teams in a complex, fast-paced environment. You will collaborate closely with product, business, and other engineering leaders to ensure alignment, clarity, and strong delivery outcomes.

This is a remote-first role , with occasional in-person moments designed to strengthen collaboration, alignment, and team connection.

What you’ll do

  • Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing engineering teams, fostering a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner closely with Product, Business, Design, and other Engineering teams to translate business needs into scalable and reliable technical solutions.
  • Own technical and delivery excellence, ensuring systems are performant, resilient, secure, and maintainable.
  • Contribute to technical strategy and architectural decisions, balancing short-term delivery with long-term sustainability.
  • Define and prioritize team roadmaps, aligning engineering efforts with company objectives and timelines.
  • Promote best practices in software engineering, including testing, observability, monitoring, automation, and documentation.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and career development, building diverse and inclusive teams.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, experimentation, feedback, and continuous learning.

What you’ll bring

You bring strong leadership skills, solid technical foundations, and experience scaling teams and systems in modern software environments. You are comfortable navigating ambiguity and thrive in environments where impact, quality, and collaboration guide decision-making.

  • Proven experience as an Engineering Manager or Senior Engineering Manager in software-driven organizations.
  • Strong technical background in modern software development (backend, frontend, or platform-focused), with the ability to guide architectural discussions.
  • Experience leading, mentoring, and developing engineers across different seniority levels.
  • Track record of delivering complex systems at scale with a strong focus on reliability and quality.
  • Excellent communication skills and fluency in English (spoken and written).
  • Ability to work effectively in a global, distributed, remote-first environment.

Nice to have

  • Experience working in highly regulated or complex technical environments.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, distributed systems, and modern DevOps practices.
  • Exposure to data-intensive, platform, or infrastructure-heavy products.
  • Comfort communicating with senior stakeholders and influencing technical and organizational direction.
