We want to redefine what technology can do in this region, and we’re looking for a Senior Executive, Quality Assurance who can help us move even faster.
noon’s mission: Every door, every day.
The Fintech team is noon’s newest frontier. We are building a suite of seamless, intuitive financial products designed to sit at the heart of the noon ecosystem. Our mission is to provide the most trusted and frictionless financial experiences in the region. We are currently in a high-velocity \"0 to 1\" phase, where every decision we make today defines the scalability and reliability of our platform tomorrow.
What you'll do:
Team noon has some of the fastest, smartest, and hardest-working people we've encountered. With a young, aggressive, and talented team, we're driving major missions forward.
He will ensure end-to-end product quality across mobile and backend systems through rigorous API, app, and UX testing. The role focuses on identifying functional, localization (LTR/RTL), accessibility, and experience gaps, performing deep root-cause analysis across frontend, backend, and data layers, and enabling automation readiness within CI/CD pipelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Culture of Rigor : You will lead the \"0 to 1\" QA roadmap. You are the architect of our testing standards. You will define the SOPs for smoke, regression, and UAT, ensuring that we never sacrifice customer trust for speed.
- End-to-End Validation : You own the integrity of the Fintech ecosystem. You will perform rigorous testing across native mobile apps and Python microservices, verifying everything from UI transitions to complex backend transaction logic and API handshakes.
- Automation Blueprinting : While the initial focus is manual, you will design for scale. You are responsible for identifying high-impact flows for future automation and ensuring the system is \"testable\" from day one to facilitate a seamless transition to automated frameworks.
What you'll need:
Qualifications Required
The Stack & Tooling:
- Backend Proficiency : You must have experience in API testing using tools like Postman or Insomnia for deep-dive contract testing and validation of complex request/response payloads. Additional experience with Python-based services is a significant advantage.
- Good-to-Have: Ability to navigate server logs and query SQL/NoSQL databases to verify data persistence and backend state transitions.
- Mobile Ecosystem & UX Intuition: Expertise in testing Native iOS and Android apps. Beyond functional bugs, you have a discerning eye for:
- Localization (LTR/RTL): Deep understanding of Right-to-Left layout mirroring, ensuring that iconography, navigation, and alignment are culturally and technically accurate for Arabic-speaking markets.
- Accessibility & UX Patterns: Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and native UI patterns across different screen densities and device-specific behaviors .
- Traffic Inspection: Fluency in using tools like Charles Proxy or Proxyman to intercept traffic and validate error handling.
- Automation Readiness : Demonstrated experience with (or clear ability to implement) frameworks such as Appium, Espresso, XCUITest. You understand how to integrate these into CI/CD pipelines.
The Mindset
- Product Intuition: You don't just test features; you test the user experience. You possess the \"product sense\" to identify when a flow—even if technically functional—is intuitive or creates friction.
- Innate Curiosity: You are the person who asks \"What happens if the user kills the app exactly when the payment callback is received?\" and then goes and finds the answer.
- Root Cause Analysis : When a bug is found, your first instinct is to find the why. You can trace a frontend glitch back to a specific backend service or a database constraint.
- 0 to 1 Experience : Proven track record in a 0 to 1 environment or a high-growth startup where you built or significantly scaled the QA function.
- Arabic Proficiency (Preferred): While not mandatory, the ability to read and understand Arabic is highly preferred to ensure the highest level of accuracy for localized content, nuance, and user flows.
Who will excel?
- We’re looking for people with high standards, who understand that hard work matters.
- You need to be relentlessly resourceful and operate with a deep bias for action.
- We need people with the courage to be fiercely original.
- noon is not for everyone; readiness to adapt, pivot, and learn is essential.
