Job Title: Senior Fashion Stylist

Location: Mumbai

Total experience: 3+ yrs

Role Overview

The Fashion Stylist plays a crucial role in executing styling requirements for fashion, lifestyle, and branded content shoots. They support the lead stylist across pre-production, sourcing, fittings, shoot execution, and post-production organization. This role requires strong fashion knowledge, coordination skills, and the ability to independently manage styling operations under tight timelines.

Key Responsibilities

1. Styling Execution & Creative Support

• Assist the lead stylist in conceptualizing looks for shoots based on brand guidelines and campaign direction.
• Contribute to moodboards, styling decks, and visual references.
• Provide input on trends, silhouettes, textures, and thematic styling elements.

2. Sourcing & Vendor Management

• Manage end-to-end sourcing of garments, accessories, and props.
• Build and maintain relationships with designers, PR agencies, stores, rental studios, and stylists.
• Negotiate rentals, coordinate logistics, and handle approvals and credit requests.
• Maintain an organized inventory of styling items and documentation.

3. Shoot-Day Styling & Coordination

• Assist in styling talent, maintaining continuity, and dressing changes during shoots.
• Ensure all garments are prepped, steamed, and in pristine condition.
• Manage last-minute fixes: pinning, taping, adjustments, accessories switching, etc.
• Work closely with production teams to maintain timing and flow on set.

4. Post-Shoot Management

• Handle returns, documentation, invoices, and vendor coordination.
• Track styling budgets, submit expense reports, and reconcile costs.
• Maintain styling archives and update lookbooks for repeat brands.

5. Operational & Organizational Duties

• Maintain databases of designers, rental houses, and vendors.
• Prepare styling kits and ensure essentials (pins, clips, tapes, steamers) are available for every shoot.
• Support the lead stylist in fittings, alterations, and approvals.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of fashion, styling principles, silhouettes, body types, and brand aesthetics.
• Excellent coordination and multitasking abilities.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Ability to work under pressure, especially during back-to-back shoots.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Knowledge of emerging fashion trends, creators, and styling references.
• Basic sewing/alterations is a plus.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Fashion Styling, Fashion Design, Fashion Communication, or similar fields.
• 3+ years of experience in styling for shoots, production houses, influencer work, or fashion content.
• Experience with branded shoots or digital content is preferred.
