Senior Fixed Income Trader

Job Purpose:

Primary role is to trade fixed income within clearly defined risk limits to generate revenue from both flow and proprietary positioning

Principal Accountabilities:

Manage a trading portfolio, long/short book as defined in the Investment Policy. This will include but not limited to: Government, Corporate and Financial Institutions securities, both senior and subordinated;

Identify trading opportunities through conducting thorough market research and make informed decisions based on market conditions and risk assessments;

Trade fixed income short term or long term, depending upon trading style and/or market conditions;

Monitor Market liquidity and Adjust trading strategies accordingly to optimize trade execution;

Use hedging mechanism to minimize position risk such as UST Futures and IRS when necessary;
