Within this critical area, the "Customer Journey Solutions" team is central to shaping its future. We make a significant contribution to the target architecture by driving a common platform, fostering growth initiatives, and optimizing processes. Our key initiatives include the operation and development of the dbCORE low-code platform for process design, creating online product sales and self-service offerings for all channels, building a dedicated product sales and service shop for easy integration, and delivering PB-wide Ident & Sign solutions.
  • As a Senior Frontend‑Web Engineer, you will contribute to software development projects by creating new online banking customer processes using Angular. You will collaborate with multiple teams to design and develop reusable front‑end components used across online banking and other Deutsche Bank applications. Your work will directly support critical business flows such as security procedures, payments, and transactions.
  • You will act as a hands‑on expert and a key point of contact for all frontend‑related topics—providing direction, guidance, and coaching to junior UI/UX engineers and collaborating with cross‑functional teams. You will also play an active role in knowledge sharing, including delivering training sessions and participating in our Frontend Guild.
  • Your solutions must meet extremely high performance and scalability requirements, capable of handling 50,000–100,000+ parallel customer accesses, ensuring flawless availability and exceptional user experience.

  • Your key responsibilities

  • Develop new online banking customer processes using Angular, TypeScript, and RxJS.
  • Build and evolve reusable front‑end components for various banking applications.
  • Enhance and maintain critical online banking business processes, with special focus on security, payments, and transactions.
  • Act as the primary contact for frontend engineering questions; provide coaching, mentoring, and technical guidance to junior engineers.
  • Conduct and deliver training sessions and contribute to cross‑team knowledge transfer via the frontend guild.
  • Ensure highly scalable solutions that perform reliably under very high usage load (50,000‑100,000+ concurrent users).
  • Collaborate in agile delivery teams, participating in backlog refinement, design sessions, code reviews, and sprint planning.
  • Work on a mission‑critical, customer‑visible web application that directly impacts Deutsche Bank’s customer experience and brand reputation.
  • Your skills and experience

  • Technical Skills Several years of professional, practical experience building Single Page Applications (SPAs) using:AngularTypeScriptRxJSREST based APIsExpert level experience with responsive UI development using:HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, Bootstrap 4+Strong experience in Frontend testing:Karma/Jasmine or JestKnowledge and practical application of WCAG 2.0 AA Accessibility guidelines.Experience with NX mono repo toolset is a plus.
  • Soft Skills Strong analytical and communication abilities.High independence, ownership, and initiative in agile environments.Experience coaching and upskilling junior UI/UX or frontend engineers.
  • Drive & Motivation Passion for learning and adopting new web technologies and frameworks in a fast-changing environment.
