Experienced Full-Stack Developer to join a growing games startup!

We are a remote‑first Finnish company with a veteran team that has years of experience building cross‑platform social MMO games. We are developing a cross‑platform (mobile, PC, consoles) social MMO game / social platform where UGC, player‑driven in‑game economy and social aspects are at the core experience. We believe that focusing on social interactions and having high accessibility regardless of the players’ favourite devices is the key to creating meaningful, shared gameplay experiences. We also recently acquired GamerPay.gg to facilitate safe and transparent player‑to‑player trading.

Role Description: We are looking for an experienced Full‑Stack Developer with 5+ years of experience. The main task will be to maintain and develop the game server API used by the actual game clients. The second priority will be API and web application for internal LiveOps and User Management tools. The role is also open to contractors.

Requirements:

  • Experience with Typescript and one of the front‑end frameworks (Vue is preferred, but Angular, React or Svelte will do as well)
  • MongoDB, in particular with aggregation pipelines and the Mongoose ODM
  • Git, Gitflow, Jira

Good to have, but not a must:

  • OpenAPI, and Postman or any other API definition and management tools
  • OAuth, JWT and other authentication mechanisms
  • Github Actions, Helm, Kubernetes
  • Mobile development (to understand restrictions and limitations of mobile clients)
  • Web Application Firewalls
