What You'll Do

• End-to-End Product Ownership: Design (contribute to design process), build, test, and deploy entire features across the stack, from our React/TypeScript frontend to our backend services.
• Architect for Scale: Evolve our core application architecture, making key decisions to ensure our platform is performant, reliable, and scalable on AWS.
• AI-Powered Feature Development: Collaborate closely with our Machine Learning team to seamlessly integrate cutting-edge NLP and generative AI capabilities into the product.
• UI/UX Craftsmanship: Work hand-in-hand with product and design to translate vision into technically sound solutions and an exceptional user experience.
• Technical Mentorship: Elevate the entire engineering team by sharing your expertise, mentoring other engineers, and championing software engineering best practices.
• Accelerate with AI: Leverage AI assistant tools to accelerate development and debugging, while applying critical judgment to ensure all code meets our high standards for quality, security, and integrity.
• Adaptable & Curious: In a tech landscape that evolves at lightning speed, you have a deep-seated curiosity and a drive to continuously learn. You are quick to adapt, embracing new tools and technologies to solve problems and find a way through any challenge.

What You Bring

• 3+ years in a Full Stack Engineer or similar role, with a track record of shipping and maintaining complex web applications in a production environment.
• Familiar with both RESTful and GraphQL API and experience designing, building, and maintaining APIs that are scalable and secure.
• Understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems and how to design services that are modular, maintainable, and resilient.
• Hands-on experience with the AWS platform. You’re comfortable working with core services like ECS for container orchestration, Lambda, and various database services.
• Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB), with strong SQL skills considered a bonus.
• An execution-obsessed mindset and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving, with a bias for action to deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
• A deep sense of ownership and accountability; you care about the entire lifecycle of a feature, from idea to impact.
• You know how to move fast by leveraging AI tools like Cursor, Claude, or Code ChatGPT to generate code, troubleshoot issues, and accelerate development workflows.
• But speed never compromises quality—you apply sound engineering judgment to ensure everything you ship is secure, reliable, and built to last.

Good to Have

• Experience with caching services like Redis or search platforms like Elasticsearch to optimise performance and data retrieval
• Hands-on experience building AI agents, chatbots, or conversational flows using LLMs - we're integrating AI features, and it's helpful if you've played with this stuff before
• Python skills for data processing, scripting, or working with AI/ML libraries
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices (Docker, GitHub Actions, etc.)

You’ll answer 5-6 role-relevant questions over chat and submit a short video answer. It’s untimed and mobile-friendly.
