Senior Full Stack Engineer  

POSITION PURPOSE:

Bayer Radiology R&D is currently seeing a Senior Fullstack Developer to architect and implement end-to-end cloud-native applications for SaMD cloud connectivity solutions. This role demands strong hands-on experience across both front-end and back-end development, with a focus on seamless integration, performance optimization, and secure design. You will work closely with product, UX, and platform teams to deliver cohesive user experiences and scalable backend services.

Unlike the Senior Software Developer, who may focus more on backend-heavy or service-layer development, this role emphasizes equal ownership of both frontend and backend, with a strong focus on integration, user experience, and full lifecycle delivery.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build and maintain fullstack applications with seamless frontend-backend integration
  • Translate product requirements and UX designs into scalable, secure code
  • Collaborate with UX, product, and platform teams to deliver cohesive user experiences
  • Optimize application performance across client and server layers
  • Guide junior developers on fullstack architecture, coding standards, and best practices
  • Ensure application reliability, security, and compliance with healthcare standards
  • Participate in agile sprints, planning, and release cycles
  • Stay current with fullstack development trends and tools
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across the stack in development and production

    • WHO YOU ARE:

    Key Skills

  • Frontend: React.js, Angular.js TypeScript, HTML, CSS, responsive design, accessibility
  • Backend: Python (FastAPI, Django), Node.js, microservices architecture
  • Cloud Platforms: Google Cloud Platform (preferred) and at least one of AWS or Azure
  • API Design & Integration: RESTful APIs, GraphQL, OAuth
  • Databases: SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL), NoSQL (MongoDB, Firestore)
  • DevOps & CI/CD: Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps
  • Security & Compliance: OWASP, HIPAA, GDPR
  • Version Control & Code Quality: Git, static code analysis tools
  • Design Collaboration: Figma (preferred), Adobe XD
  • Agile & Collaboration: Jira, Confluence, Scrum practices

    • Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in fullstack development
  • Experience with GCP (preferred) and either AWS or Azure
  • Proven experience in regulated environments, preferably healthcare
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
