Role: Senior Full Stack Engineer (Shopify)

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer, Shopify to join our remote team. The role spans multiple technical tracks depending on your strengths and focus area.

Tracks

• Front‑End Engineer (Shopify) – Build high‑performance, visually engaging Shopify storefronts and headless commerce experiences.
• Back‑End Engineer (Shopify Apps & Extensions) – Design and build Shopify apps (public/private) and backend APIs using Node.js, Remix, or Next.js.
• Back‑End Engineer (Integrations & Systems Architecture) – Build robust, scalable integrations between Shopify and ERP, OMS, CMS, and enterprise systems.
• Full‑Stack Engineer (Shopify) – Combine front‑end and back‑end expertise to design, develop, and maintain full Shopify solutions.

Front‑End Engineer (Shopify)

• Build custom Shopify storefronts and themes using Liquid, React, and modern frameworks like Next.js and Remix.
• Translate design mockups and business requirements into high‑quality, accessible, and scalable code.
• Implement reusable components, UI logic, and performance optimization best practices.
• Collaborate closely with designers and backend engineers on headless Shopify builds.
• Stay up‑to‑date with the latest Shopify front‑end updates and trends.

You Bring (Front‑End)

• Strong experience in Liquid and custom theme development.
• Proficiency in React, Next.js, Remix, and TypeScript.
• Familiarity with Shopify Storefront API and headless commerce.
• Passion for creating accessible, fast, and beautiful web experiences.

Back‑End Engineer (Shopify Apps & Extensions)

• Design and build Shopify apps (public/private) and backend APIs using Node.js, Remix, or Next.js.
• Implement Shopify Functions, custom checkout logic, and performance optimizations.
• Work with MongoDB, Supabase, and other databases for data persistence.
• Integrate with third‑party APIs, tools, and Shopify Admin/Storefront APIs.
• Collaborate with front‑end engineers and product teams on headless commerce builds.

You Bring (Back‑End Apps)

• Strong experience developing within the Shopify ecosystem.
• Hands‑on experience with Node.js, Remix, Next.js, and Shopify Functions.
• Knowledge of API authentication, webhooks, and scalable architectures.
• Understanding of deployment pipelines and Git‑based workflows.

Back‑End Engineer (Integrations & Systems Architecture)

• Develop and maintain backend integrations for Shopify with systems like Netsuite, D365, Manhattan, Contentful, Strapi, and Sanity.
• Handle data migrations and manage ETL processes between legacy and Shopify systems.
• Build services using Node.js, Remix, Next.js, and PostgreSQL.
• Leverage iPaaS tools (Celigo, MuleSoft, Workato) for complex integrations.
• Collaborate with client teams to ensure secure, reliable, and high‑performance data flows.

You Bring (Integrations)

• Proven experience designing scalable Shopify integrations.
• Deep understanding of API data mapping, authentication, and migration.
• Strong skills in PostgreSQL, ETL, and cloud deployment.
• Experience collaborating with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Full‑Stack Engineer (Shopify)

• Build and maintain full Shopify applications and headless storefronts.
• Work directly with clients to define technical needs and design architecture.
• Implement backend services, APIs, and front‑end UI with Next.js, Remix, React, and TypeScript.
• Handle database design, migrations, and integrations (PostgreSQL, Prisma ORM).
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.

You Bring (Full‑Stack)

• Comprehensive experience across Shopify’s Admin API, Storefront API, and Theme App Extensions.
• Strong technical skills in React, Next.js, Remix, and TypeScript.
• Solid database and API integration background.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
